The birth of famous singer Sonu Nigam took place in the year 1973 on 30th July. He is from the Faridabad city of Haryana. The name of his school is J.D Tyler Schools with a location in Delhi. He completed his graduation from the UNIVERSITY OF DELHI. When he was only 3 years old, he started singing. He used to sing songs with his father in parties and wedding ceremonies. Later Sonu shifted to Mumbai. There he took training under Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan who is a famous Indian classical singer
Family of Sonu Nigam:
The name of his father is Agam Gulam Nigam. His father belongs to Agra. He is also a singer by profession. Sonu’s mother is Shobha Nigam. She belongs to Garhwal. Teesha Nigam and Meenal Nigam are the names of his two younger sisters.
In the year 2002, he tied the knot with Madhurima Nigam. The couple is blessed with a son named Nevaan.
Career of Sonu Nigam:
In the year 1083, he acted in the film BETAAB In the year 1990, he made his debut in playback singing for the movie JANAM. But the official release of the film never released. He used to create and act in radio commercials. In the year 1993, in the movie ‘AAJA MERI JAAN’ he sang a song O AASMAN WALE.
In the year 1992, RAFI KI YAADEIN was released which was his first album. In the year 1995, he sang a song ACCHA SILA DIYA (Film- BEWAFA SANAM) which became hit. In the year 2013, he made his debut music direction in the movie SINGH SAAB THE GREAT. In 2004 he acted in the movie named ‘LOVE IN NEPAL’.
He got honored by many awards in his life. For the song KAL HO NA HO he got 1 national ward and 1 Filmfare award. For the Saathiya he got 1 Filmfare award.
