This famous singer was born in the year 1958, on 25th January. Her birth took place in New Delhi, India. She completed her graduation (BA in economics) from St. Xaviers College located in Mumbai.
Family, husband & relatives:
She was born in a Tamilian Lyer Family. T.S. Krishnamurthy, an employee of the Education Ministry was her father. The name of her mother is Kamakshi Krishnamurthy. Her younger brother has also got training in classical music. In the year 1999, she tied the knot with famous violinist Dr.Laxminarayana Subramanium. He has already 4 children from his earlier wife. Among the 4 children, Bindu Subramanium and Gingger Shankar are singers, Ambi Subramanium is a violinist.
The career of Kavita Krishnamurthy:
She was insisted on joining the music classes by her aunt. She got trained in Rabindra Sangeet under the guidance of Saruma Basu. Later, she got formal training in Hindustani classical music under the guidance of Balram Puri. During her school and college days, she achieved many medals by singing in Inter-Ministry Classical competitions.
In the year 1971, she got a chance of singing along with Lata Mangeshkar and Hemant Kumar (Music composer) in the Bengali film SRIMAN PRITHVIRAJ. She made her debut in Kannada song with ONDANONDU KAALADAGA in the year 1978. In the year 1985, she sang TUMSE MILKAR NA JAANE KYON which was a major hit of her career.
In the year 1086, her songs from the film Mr. India –KARTE HAI HUM PYAAR MR INDIA SE and HAWA HAWAI made her recognition in the Indian music industry. Then she started working with all the famous music directors and singers of Bollywood like A.R Rahman, Bappi Lahiri, Jatin Lalit, Anand-Milind, Ismail Darbar, Viju Shah, Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik, and Kishore Kumar. In the year 1994, she sang TU CHEEZ BADI HAI MAST MAST which created huge popularity. She entertained us with many super hit songs in her career.
